New to the club-engine questions  (United States)

Found some info. on engine recommendations searching through the threads, but wanted to try and be a bit more specific.

I am purchasing a Losi 8ight-T Race Roller to begin my nitro experience and want to race with the club.  I've posted before, I am new to nitro but familiar with RC (own an electric E-Maxx 3905).  I was thinking about this engine:

I want something easy to tune and learn, but that is not going to leave me completely in the dust.  I also want to try and stay around $150 to $200 since I will probably blow this thing out at some point.  Any suggestions?  Thanks for the info.!

Sorry.  Will also being using a starter box if that makes a difference.  Unless someone things that the pull or electric start would be better for a noob.  I didn't know if they would fit in the 8ight-T RR since it was designed for a starter box.  Thanks again.

Was also looking at this, but didn't know how easy break in/tuning would be for a first timer:

I think a .28 would be too much power for an 8ight-T. The Novarossi 21BF would be a good engine to get and their about $180.

Its a tough call in that price range, if you can stetch it out a little I would suggest Jammin's new .21
