Tires?

Postby forwardonly » Fri Jul 23, 2010 9:03 pm

I finally have my VE8 ready to race. I have Calibers on it right now, but I would like to get another set or 2 of tires. What suggestions do you have for STLDB? Any advantages to different brands of wheels? Are most running the V3s? Molded inserts seem to be popular as well. I run mostly 1/10 indoor so 1/8 is new to me.

Thanks for your help.

bow ties and crime fighters together work well... jconcepts make
7's work well when the track is loamy too...
A bad day at the track is better than a good day at home!

Thanks! I got to run my VE8 at Jeff City last night. Just did some laps at the RC Barn. Can't wait to get to an 8th scale track.

a JC 7 is NOT a loamy tire, in fact it's completely opposite...........it's a hardpack/groove tire................please chill and let people that actually know answer ;)

as for your question, it's all in preference..........I carry in my tire bag for 1/8 buggy, hope this gives you a general idea and hope to see you soon racing!
