DescriptionThe Futaba race is back and in full swing this year. There will be a little different format this year Presented by: Dirt Burners R/C Club Location: St. Louis, MO Date: August 14-16 Title Sponsors: Futaba and O.S. Engines Associate sponsors: O’Donnell, Duratrax, Muchmore, Upgrade RC, more to come… Online Registration is available through RCSignup.com at: Classes: Classes are based on status in the RC Pro Series. Schedule: Friday – Open practice 8:00am – 9:00pm Saturday – Late arrival practice 8:00am – 9:00am / Race starts at 9:30am Sunday – Racing starts at 8:00am Qualifying: 7 minute qualifiers - 3 heats (based on qual points) Mains: Intermediate A main – 20 minutes Expert A main – 30 minutes Pro A main – two 20 minute mains (overall based on combined scores) Dash for Cash: Top 6 qualifiers in Pro buggy will run a 7 lap race to decide starting grid for the first A main. Winner will take 50% of the cash raised in the raffle. Awards: Trophies will be given to all A main finishers and the top six in the B mains. All Top Qualifiers will receive a custom pit mat from Upgrade RC. Special Awards: Intermediate buggy: 1st Futaba radio / 2nd two Futaba BLS352 / 3rd one Futaba BLS351 Intermediate truggy: 1st Futaba radio / 2nd two Futaba BLS352 / 3rd one Futaba BLS351 Expert buggy: 1st O.S. DescriptionLocated West of I-270 Off Marshall Road Greentree Park is situated along the Meramec River off of Marshall Road. The park features a picnic shelter, radio controlled car track, boat ramp, and lighted soccer and football fields. The location along the Meramec River offers recreational opportunities unavailable in other parks. However, due to its close proximity to the river, the park is subject to seasonal flooding. The radio controlled car track is currently operated by the Dirt Burners radio Controlled car club. The park also features a mile long stretch of the Meramec River Greenway Trail, and connects to additional trails in neighboring Simpson Park, operated by St. Louis County Parks and Recreation.
